What we count
Your boards, your streak and your settings stay in this browser. We have no account for you and no copy of them.
If you say no, or close the question
Nothing is recorded or sent, and the game is exactly the same.
If you say yes
We ask once, after your first cleared board. A yes sends these anonymous numbers to PostHog, our analytics service, on its servers in the EU:
- open The page was opened: whether it is your first day, how many days since your first day and your last visit, whether you came from a shared result, and whether it is a past day.
- win A board was cleared: how many moves, hints, shuffles and undos it took, and whether it was a past day.
- hint A hint was used.
- shuffle A free shuffle was used.
- undo An undo was used.
- back to winnable The game stepped back to where the board can still be cleared, and how many steps that took.
- stuck No pair could be taken, and whether the board could still be cleared.
- share A result was shared. Never what was shared, or with whom.
- numbers yes You said yes to these numbers.
Each one carries the date of the board and a random ID made in your browser, so we can see that a player came back without knowing who. We never send your name, email, contacts, location or an advertising ID. PostHog is set to throw away IP addresses, and it keeps these numbers for one year. We never sell them.
If you change your mind
Open Help on the daily board and untick "Send anonymous numbers". Sending stops at once and the random ID is deleted from this browser.
