Our promises
What CalmJong promises every player. They go into our terms, so they bind us. Hold us to them: if we ever break one, tell us, and we will put it right and say so in the changelog below.
- Every board can be won. Our solver checks each board before you see it.
- Undo, Hint and Shuffle are free, without limit. A hint always leads to a win, and a shuffle never leaves a dead board. Help is never sold when you are stuck.
- Nothing covers the board while you play. No banners, and no ad plays during a board unless you ask for one for a bonus hint; then the board waits, untouched, until it closes.
- Few ads, said first. None in your first 20 boards or your first week; then at most one short ad per 3 boards you finish, never after a board you didn't finish, and none on the Zen Board. Your ad receipt shows every ad.
- One price removes every ad, for good. No subscription, and we never take back a purchase.
- No coins, no energy, no time banks, no battle pass. Nothing is ever locked behind money.
- No clocks unless you want one. Personal bests only; pause any time.
- No tricks. No fake-fail ads, no "only 1% can clear this", no guilt about streaks, no secret difficulty changes after a loss. When a board is hard, we offer an easier one openly.
- Your data stays on your phone. No account. A plain page shows what is kept, gives you a copy and deletes it all. We never sell it. Anonymous numbers are sent only if you say yes, and you can stop them any time.
- A person answers. Within 48 hours, from day 1.
- We publish every fairness change, and every ad we block or limit.
Ads that fit a calm game
We ask Google only for ads that fit all ages (rated G) and are never personalised.
Before the first real ad, we block whole kinds of ads in our ad account: gambling, alcohol, dating, weight loss, get-rich-quick, cosmetic procedures, drugs and supplements, politics, religion, sex, and shocking or sensational ads.
Every ad we block or limit later goes in the changelog below, with its date.
Fairness changelog
Every change we make for fairness, and every ad we block or limit, newest first.
8 November 2026
- Anonymous numbers only after a yes. The website asks once, after your first cleared board, and No is as easy as Yes. Until you say yes, nothing is recorded or sent. You can change your answer in Help, and calmjong.com/privacy lists everything we count.
7 November 2026
- Ads come with rules, before the first player. None in your first 20 boards or your first week. Then at most one short ad per 3 boards you finish, never after a board you didn't finish, never within 90 seconds of another ad, none on the Zen Board, after a board played together or before the day's circuit is done. No banners. The card after a board says first when an ad comes next.
- Bonus hints are optional and capped. Tap Hint again while a pair is lit to choose a short ad for the next 5 pairs: at most 3 a day, never when no pair can be taken, never on the Zen Board. If the ad can't load, the hint comes anyway. Hint itself stays free, without limit.
- Remove-ads removes every ad, the optional ones too, for one price, once. Buyers get one bonus hint free each week instead.
- The ad receipt: Settings shows every ad shown this week and last.
- One in 20 players sees no ads between boards, so we can measure what ads cost players and keep them few.
- Ad kit limited: Google's ads only, asked for general audiences (rated G) and never personalised; the advertising ID is switched off in the app.
- The review card comes once at most, after your third win or later, and never after an ad or a board you didn't finish.
Earlier, in the first build
- Every board can be won: the solver checks each one before you see it.
- Undo, Hint and Shuffle are free, without limit, and a shuffle never leaves a dead board.
- No secret difficulty changes: after three losses on a board, an easier version is offered openly, and labelled.
- No clocks: personal bests only, a progress bar instead of a countdown.
- Rest days, not guilt: a streak keeps an earned rest day, and nothing ever says it is "freezing".
